PIRGULU - LAHIJ

On our off-road tour, which begins from the Shamakhi city, you will see and get information about some historical sites. In addition you will admire nature scenes in the mountain passes. Although the beginning and end of our tour are asphalt, the rest areas between Pirgulu and Lahic settlements are unused mountain roads. In other words, the mountain roads continue from Pirsaatchay's riverbed to the Girdimanchay valley after crossing the Lahıc pass. In spite of the start and the end points of the tour is 700 m above sea level, the highest point (Lahic pass) is 2060 m.

According to the tour plan, the first stop will be Shamakhi Juma Mosque, which is the oldest mosque in Azerbaijan. The tour will be continued by following places: The Shamakhi Astrophysical Observatory (from outside), the Pirsaatchay riverbed, the Necropolis of the III-IV century which is archaeological excavations still going on, the Lahıc pass, the Girdimanchay riverbed, the Lahij settlement and the suspension bridge on the Girdimanchay river. Tourists will be briefly informed about historical places and surrounding geographical names and villages.

10:30-11:00 30 minutes touring the Shamakhi Juma Mosque after brief information. 
11:30 Brief information about the The Shamakhi Astrophysical Observatory which is located in Pirgulu settlement (10 minutes)
12:00 We will reach the Demirci village which is allocated on the Pirsaatchay`s riverbed 
12:30-13:00 Acquaintance with necropolis, which is archeological excavations still going on
14:00 Lahic pass
16:00-17:00 We will reach to Lahic settlement. 1 hour leisure time.
17:30-18:00 Leisure time nearby suspension bridge over Girdimanchay river.
18:10 Reaching to Baku-Shamakhi highway and moving to Baku
20:30 In Baku.
