MOUNTAINEERING TRAINING AND HIKING AT “BAKU EARS”MOUNTAIN

The double peak near the town of Korgöz (“Blind Eye”), is known as the Bakı Qulaqları (“Baku Ears”). The highest point is 384 m above sea level. There is a picturesque view to Caspian Sea, Korgöz, Puta and Qızıldash (“Golden Stone”) settlements, as well as to Qaraqush (“Black Bird”) mountain which is look like crocodile. These areas are remained untouched for thousand of years and it will give you an idea about the landscape and nature of previous virgin Baku lands.

As per our tour plan; after getting to the top, we will give basic climbing instructions in front of 40m rocky wall. These training includes descent by rope (a rappel), top rope climbing, usage instructions of mountaineering equipment and ropes. After that, we will walk 2 km and visit an ancient settlement which is look like the cave at the foot of the mountain. We would like to inform you that this settlement has not been registered in any official source.

• Mountaineering equipment (ropes, carabiners, helmets, safety harnesses, etc.)
• Training by professional mountaineer

• Suitable clothing as per weather condition
• Comfortable and tough footwear (It is recommended to have a tough (bottom) shoe. Because you will climb to the rock with same shoe)
• Sunglasses, trekking poles (if available)
• Food and water (at least 1 lt)
• Comfortable backpack
